Soup is a great way to experiment with vegan eating, too. It is easy to prepare delicious vegan, food today because tofu and other meat subsitutes are now so tasty. Because of the improved flavor they are popular enough to be found in every grocery store. The bonus is they are low in fat and calories and high in nutrition and flavor.

Even better - save yourself and the planet and eat beans! Nature's miracle food is ideal for the modern world and so perfect for soup and casseroles and stews. They are high in protein and fiber and inexpensive.

And when it comes to the problems of life, from motivating ourselves toward healthy habits to inspiring ways to create a more compassionate world, we can all use a few basic recipes for some ‘solution soup’ as well.


The true definition of a vegetarian


Vegetarians keep the focus on being compassionate instead of worrying about minor ingredients.

We are not judgemental about the choices of others.

The true meaning of eating a vegetarian diet is not the avoidance of meat or meat products. The heart of this choice is to end world hunger, heal the environment, end cruelty to animals as well as maintain good personal health.

Choosing a vegetarian diet is simply a practical, active approach. We are working to to make the world a better place. Avoiding all hidden ingredients can be far too expensive and time-consuming; however, our goal is to alleviate suffering by avoiding meat and meat products to the best of our ability.

We make being a vegetarian an affirmation of life, a means to fulfillment and joy.
